Albee Aryel Work/Study Fellowship

Truckee Meadows Community College

We established the Albee Aryel Work/Study Fellowship in 2017 as a means to enable a promising student from a disadvantaged background to attend college and enter a profession. Candidates can pursue any field of study; we strongly encourage them to transfer to a four year University so they can subsequently earn a bachelor’s degree. We offer a full scholarship: Tuition, required books and other materials, as well as a laptop computer and calculator if needed. We provide mentoring and tutoring support. Our goal is to remove obstacles from the Fellow’s path and to maximize the opportunity for success.

Fellows must maintain a B average in college, and demonstrate an excellent employment history.

Our 2018 fellow is Natalie Aldecoa, who dreams of becoming a nurse. Natalie’s employer, Dairy Queen, describes her as hard-working, reliable and always finding ways to help her supervisor and coworkers.

If you are one of our patients and need to reach us when the office is closed, call 775-825-KIDS(5437) 24 hours a day. A doctor or nurse practitioner will call you back promptly. If you or your child have an immediate life-threatening illness, call 911 or go to the Emergency Department. Call us to let us know you are there so we can assist the ED physician caring for you or your child.
